Safehands network was founded originally in 1997 by husband and wife team Stephanie and Gary Farrer. The original concept of a nationwide network of childcarers began when Gary and Stephanie who are parents of 3 children often struggled to find consistent reliable childcare. Constantly being let down at the last

minute they found that their social lives became non-existent. Realising that there were probably many parents in the same scenario, they worked hard to develop a solution to the problem. Nearly 10 years on, the service has an ever-expanding dedicated and enthusiastic growing team of childcare co-ordinators, customer service advisors and family support officers
